Mountfield put the previous week’s loss behind them as they overcame a youthful Little Common side, eventually winning 2-0 after holding out near the end of the game. In an unattractive game of football, in which the visitors missed a penalty, the lads couldn't get used to the surface of the main pitch at Little Common Rec, which seems to receive less attention now the county side are exiled at Eastbourne United...

vs Ore Athletic

It took penalties to finally settle the tie but Mountfield came out on top against Premier Division outfit Ore Athletic. In a game that was real end to end stuff at times, both teams had the chances to go 2-1 up during the game, but a mixture of poor finishing and good defensive blocks meant both teams had to endure 120 minutes of football on an unforgiving surface...

vs Herstmonceux

Mountfield made it two wins on the bounce after a convincing win against Herstmonceux. With all goals coming in the first half, the lads saw out the game in an encounter in which their opponents rarely troubled the Mountfield goal. Despite the home sides’ sluggish start and gifting the visitors with three of the goals, the lads still looked solid at the back and created plenty of chances throughout the game...

vs Rock-a-Nore

After a two week absence Mountfield returned to action with a 1-0 win over Rock-a-Nore. In an ugly game full of bookings, verbals and pauses in play, with the playing surface also hindering a game which never really got to settle. However, the home side deserved the three points and if they'd been better in the final third, they could've added another two or three goals, however they hung on for the final ten minutes to see the game out...
